As I was doing a few reads and rates this morning, I noticed that Fiver29 had reviewed this and it reminded me that I had one sat out by the kettle to make up with Noah. I usually have a few in the cupboard because Noah likes making them up and we all like eating them so it's the perfect opportunity for me to tell you all about them! This particular flavour is Strawberry but you can get them in a couple of other flavours. I can't tell you what these are because we usually stick to this one because it's the nicest in my opinion. 7p!! You can barely even buy any sweets at the corner shop for 7p these days, but Asda are currently selling Smart Price Strawberry jelly for that mealy amount. Nutritional Information Typical values Per 100g as sold Energy 288kcal Protein 4.2g Carbohydrate 67.8g The jelly isn't suitable for veggies as it contains pork gelatin. The jelly itself looks and feels like any other jelly, it comes as a concentrated block, divided into sections that need ripping apart and dissolving in hot water in order to make the final jelly. I am always on the lookout for a bargain, this the same for food products, I know there are many things that can't be scrimped on, but I am willing to try the cheaper brands at least once to determine if there is any savings to be had. My son has just discovered the delights that is jelly, so on a recent shopping trip I saw a bargain to be had. The product I will now review is - "Smartprice strawberry jelly" Now I do normally have to sample the things that I end up either cooking or making, this is no hardship when it comes to puddings!
