... open the jar, and you know it's going to have a big kick to it. The worst thing about it is the way it's quite watery. If you use it to dip crsips into then you're going to have a watery mess left at the end, and your crisps will go a bit soggy too. I don't really know why they didn't thicken it up a bit, but I guess it's up to them isn't it? The taste is good - you notice the tomatoes right away, but boy does it have a kick to it! If you're like me, you struggle with anything remotely hot, and this is certainly hot. I...more

What is salsa for? In this house, it's for dipping Doritos in and that's about it! Well, this is a cheap one from Asda, and at around 80p for a 300g jar it's real value. I love making tortillas with hot chicken, salad and a mix of guacamole, sour cream and salsa. I hate paying over the odds for things and this salsa dip is just as good as the leading brand but half of the price. It costs around 80p for 300g jar and is made up of mostly tomatoes, some peppers and other spices thrown in to give it a bit of a kick. The whole thing is quite thick so theres no watery substance that trails off everywhere when you put it in between the wrap. The salsa has a lovely taste ...  Read the complete review

Unfortunately I'm living in a town without ASDA but a couple of weeks ago we drove the 45min to the next outlet to find out if ASDA is really as great as the reviews on here suggest. I was positively surprised; the range of products is very diverse and prices are comparable to Tesco's. The ASDA Hot Salsa sauce was one of the highlights of this shopping trip - a great dip for tortilla chips and also very nice as a pasta sauce. ----------------------- Look & Taste The salsa sauce comes in a medium sized glass jar and looks brightly red with little green pieces of herbs - coriander leafs to be accurate. I don't like these ...  Read the complete review
