... this was wrapped in a cellophane wrapper. The wrapper was mostly dark blue and it has a small see through part at the bottom and you seen a glimpse of the Rolls. Being Sausage Rolls these aren't the healthiest snack for you and each Roll has 258 calories and 18.8g of Fat. I felt I could eat at least 2 of these, so with Chips these would have so much Fat. You can Microwave these for about 90 seconds, but I think Sausage Rolls come out really greasy and soft this way. Handy for a quick snack though, but may upset your ...more

Premium Review Asda Sausage Rolls: PREFER MINI SAUSAGE ROLLS (399 words)

There's nothing like a nice Sausage roll. I don't even mind them when they are a bit greasy, and as long as I have a splodge of Sauce on my plate to dip mine into then i'm happy enough. Over the years i've found I prefer Mini sausage Rolls to larger ones. Not sure why, as I can still eat enough Mini ones to equate to a larger one, but I think they taste that bit better. This was my first try of a larger Sausage Roll, so how did it go? These were from Asda and were on sale for £1 for the 5 pack. Not sure of the right price, as they were on an end chiller with a large £1 stuck on them, but think i've seen them for around the £1.30 mark. Packaging was ...  Read the complete review

Sometimes Andrew and I like to have a 'free for all' kind of tea. This basically means we scan the aisles of a supermarket and choose whatever we fancy and pretend we don't notice the £30 bill that we pay at the end for one meal! On this occasion I fancied salad stuff with scotch eggs and pastries. I chose these sausages rolls and just before tea time our Asda shop arrived, brimming with lots of chosen delights. The rolls looked quite tempting from the packaging and when I opened them up I got a strong smell of the pastry. The pastry was a little flimsy and squashy when I put one roll between my fingers but I find that a lot of these sorts of products are like ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Asda Sausage Rolls: A GHASTLY AND GRISTLY OFFERING! :-( (740 words)

Whilst in my local Asda supermarket the other day, I picked up a double pack of their own brand sausage rolls to give them a try. The packaging is different to the picture shown on Dooyoo, as the ones I opted to buy are in a little plastic packet containing two individual sausage rolls, costing somewhere around the 50 pence mark or thereabouts. After returning home and putting all the shopping away, I opted to try out one of the sausage rolls - Lol what can I say?... Food shopping always makes me hungry! :-o Tearing open the clear packet and removing one sausage roll, I was aware straight away that they did not look to be all that appetising. If ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I'd be rolling everywhere if I ate too many of these (582 words)

Sandwiches get very boring after a while when that's all the kids are being offered for their lunches. Whilst in Asda last weekend I saw their sausage roll packs on offer for 2 packs of five for £2, so I picked up a pack of sausage rolls and a pack of cheese and onion rolls. The packaging is very basic, and you can see the product straight through the clear wrapping, but I could see the rolls were an average size and would do nicely for a change. No doubt they would only last a few days in our house, but never mind. Each sausage roll is covered in a plaited puff pastry. I looked quite dense when you pick it out of the packet. Not a lot crumbles away as ...  Read the complete review
