      Tasty, tangy jam

When it comes to toast it really is one of my favourite foods however unless I have butter in (which I try to avoid like the plague!) I'm not so keen on it plain with just a spread on it so I always have in jams and marmalades and the likes in!

This jar of jam costing 84p in Asda appealed to me simply for a change. I usually stick to convention and have a strawberry jam but like I say I picked this up simply for a change as I really fancied it!

      The Packaging:

The see-through glass jar holds 454g of the jam and it has a black twist on/off lid to the top of it. On the front of the label we are shown a photograph of the raspberries and we are told that it is Asda 'Chosen By You' Seedless Jam Raspberry Jam 'Full of fruity, tangy flavours' and the size is stated and we are told that it is suitable for Vegetarians. Other information on the jar includes ingredients and nutritional advice and contact details for Asda are given. Nie enough, easy to open jar...this is and of course it is informative enough too.

      The Jam:

The jam itself is rather set when you first purchase it and a dark, deep berry colour with a lovely fruity aroma to it. This does need to be stored in the fridge (for up to 6 weeks from when opened) or it does melt rather badly stored at room temperature. The jam itself it tangy, full of raspberry flavours that are natural and its tangy, sweet and really easy to spread. There are of course no seeds at all within it making it a really smooth and rather thick jam and all in all this is a very nice high quality jam in my opinion and worth the pennies that it costs!
