The vinegar is good and malty and not sweet, (although I can't remember the last time I saw beetroot in sweet vinegar, maybe they've stopped doing it) so the sweetness of the beetroot is nicely offset by the sharpness of the vinegar. Premium Review Asda Sliced Beetroot: Pickled Beetroot (227 words)

I love beetroot, I could probably eat a whole jar in one go! Although I've never actually tried, so that could be a big fat lie lol. I prefer sliced beetroot to the baby whole beets because they are easier to get on your fork. I do like beetroot however to the best of my knowledge I've only ever eaten Baxters (well in my home anyway!) so I was a bit concerned when this 53p jar turned up in our food cupboard courtesy of my Mother trying to save a few pennies on our weekly shop a couple of weeks back! The Packaging: The jar is glass and see through with a dark green twist off lid to the top of it with the best before date stamped on it and a purple label round it's middle and in this case it's 340g in size. On the front of the jar I'm told it is Asda Sliced Beetroot (also available in crinkle cut) and there is a photograph of a cheese and beetroot batch on there, size is ...  Read the complete review
