Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: Watered down

I love baked beans. I am a bean freak!! You cannot beat Heinz and I'm quite sure at 14p a can Asda are not trying to do this.

My opinion of these beans is that there is too much sauce and not enough beans. Asda have obviously watered it down. It is a 420g tin. When you open the tin with a tin opener the top inch is mainly bean juice.

The taste is great. I love the taste of all baked beans.
You will find the beans down the tin Aisle of Asda. It has a white label and the usual green smart price logo, with a picture of some beans on the front. The packaging contains cooking instructions, content, and ingredients.

You can cook the beans using the microwave or the hob.
The beans are suitable for vegetarians and I am very surprised to read that they count as one of your 5 a day. Wayhay!

Ingredients:
Beans (45%), tomato puree (24%), water, sugar, modified maize starch, salt, glucose syrup, paprika, onion powder.

Summary: I prefer Heinz
