Advantages: cheap

Disadvantages: dull packaging

As far as I am concerned, you cannot go wrong buying value biscuits. It is not like taking a risk with meat or fish. These custard creams are a worthy addition to any cupboard.

The taste:

Custard creams are those small sanswich type biscuits, with a yellow biscuit both sides and a sticky custard filler bit in the middle. I used to eat branded custard creams but these are just as good. I could tell little to no difference in taste. The biscuit crumbles slightly, but the inner bit is the highlight, leaving you with that sugary sweet custard taste.

Critique:

I have no bad words to say, except the packaging is dull, but then that is the case with value brands. You get enough biscuits in a pack to last you a good couple of weeks. At around 30-40 pence a pack they are good value and seem to stay relatively fresh too.

Availability:

Generally well stocked, so no complaints

Verdict: A corker of a biscuit that is worth buying

Summary: good value
