Advantages: Price

Disadvantages: Some sides broke off

I very rarely buy biscuits because we try to eat healthy in the week and have pocket money at the weekend to spend on whatever we like. This sounds ridiculous but I would literally be twenty stone if this ritual wasn't in play because I can certainly pack away a lot of junk food. Unfortunately for me, when I did the monthly Asda shop I was quite peckish so I ended up bunging a packet of these into the trolley. The fact that I had seen them on the Dooyoo listing had absolutely nothing to do with it..........Well ok, maybe that was partly in my mind at the time too!

The biscuits cost around 30p for a packet and you can expect to get around 35 biscuits for that price. They are of course only available at Asda and you won't be shocked to know that they are found in the second best aisle in the store and that is the biscuit aisle.

The biscuits are very much the same as any other custard cream on the planet in that they have a yellow cream sandwiched between two crunchy biscuits. They remind me of the ever so faithful bourbon but these are more square in shape and of course they are a totally different colour altogether.

I can't tell the difference between these and a more expensive version of the brand but then I haven't had a name brand product for quite a while now. The biscuit was very crunchy and the cream tasted of vanilla without being too over powering.

I'm not normally one for breaking off a side and scraping the cream off with my teeth but on a couple of occasions I had no choice. The biscuit came away in my hand which was a bit annoying. I wasn't sure if it was because I had a 'dud' pack or whether this was the case with all of the packs.

I don't like to dunk these biscuits because I hate the wa that it goes soggy and the cream turns to mush so I can't really comment on that side of things. I would imagine they would hold up pretty well considering they are quite a thick biscuit.

Each biscuit contains 64 calories and 2.7g fat which is a lot and I guarantee you won't just beable to have one. I think I polished off about 15 so I'm not even going to try and work out how many calories will be going onto my hips and arse this week.

Over all I would definately recommend that you try a packet of these when you next do a shop but try to practise self control or you might end up putting on a couple of pounds.

Summary: As good as any.

Sounds like they're worth a try! Out of curiosity... if the biscuit aisle is the second best - which one is the best aisle? :)
