Advantages: The biccys don't break in your drink..

Disadvantages: At 69 calories per biccy they are fattening!

We all enjoy a good cuppa or mug of coffee at pretty much any time of the day I guess, just recently as I am saving cash and my usual biscuits were not coming up to standard in my drink I thought it was time to have a change, normal McVities Digestives are now half fat which I agree is good for us.. They are far too thin to dunk in your drink though!!
So I had to look for a decent alternative that wouldn't break the bank when I got to the checkout..

~ What do these biscuits look like? ~

If you take a wander down the biscuit aisle, obviously they are in with the other digestives..! In a classic red packaging with 'Asda' and 'digestives' written in white across the packet. Along with some of the classic picture of the digestives on the front. There is also a best before date (which on my packet is my birthday!!!!)

~ What do they taste like? ~

Digestive biscuits in short!
On their own straight out of the packet they are obviously quite sweet, but not sickly sweet, and crumble in your mouth quite nicely.. However they do leave little bits in your mouth, little bits of the biscuit get stuck in your teeth..
Whip them from the packet and add butter to them they become a less dry snack but not too fatty, with butter it gives them something extra that dry they don't have.. (I haven't had a biscuit with butter on for a long time before today!!)
Dunked, these biscuits taste phenomenal, a long or short dunk either way these biscuits last.. You don't have to worry about the biscuits dropping into your drink and desperately scrabbling around to get what's left of your biscuit ! They also are obviously going to be softer after dunked which gives them that little bit more flavour - I think! They taste sweeter and there is more chance of getting bits in your teeth unfortunately!

~ Nutritional Info ~

69 calories per biscuit..
1g of protein..
2.7g of carbohydrates..
1.6g of saturated fat..
0.6g of fibre..
0.1g of sodium..

~ How much are they? ~

They are 58p for a 500g packet of these lovely biscuits..
Almost half the price of the leading brand..

~ My Opinion ~

I would prefer these biscuits without a doubt because I like the fact I can dunk them into my drink without loosing my biscuit, however I don't like the fact that they have 69 calories per biscuit and I think I have eaten about 6/7 of them.. So they are definitely a snack to be enjoyed in moderation.. Don't be too put off by them though because they are half the price so you can enjoy a more healthy snack in the money your are saving to make up for the fat content in these biccys!

Summary: Yummy but fatty biscuits!
