Advantages: Super-cheap, basic dunkers. Taste good.

Disadvantages: Bit too moreish, (Not McVities, but much cheaper.)

Don't diss my digestives, they're not dismal, they're delicious!

I was genuinely surprised at some of the low scores that turned up when I searched. Don't forget, compare like for like, and scale it with price! You should get what you pay for... preferably more! Still, we can put that straight.

The reason I gave these a five and not four:

Comparing them to other value brand digestives (as I have done) these stand out as the most like the McVities. They're properly baked (unlike the Tesco ones, which are anaemic looking and taste nasty) to give them a nice flavour, and while not quite identical to McVities (which have a nicer texture) they're an excellent staple, particularly when you consider these are generally less than half the price.

Try the chocolate coated variety (giving up a few biscuits for a thin coat of chocolate) they're particularly nice. The smart price ginger nuts are tasty-good too!

What can you say about digestives? They're the Mr. Smith of the biscuit phone book. All in all, a sound, value for money digestive that deserves its due - being the best at that price range.

If cash is tight, and you're not on a diet, these are a nice filler if you're peckish. So why not buy a pack of these and give the 50p to charity instead of Mr. McVitie!
