... range in Asda. There's an alright mixture in here, and a mix of different colours an indeed flavours. There is little Jelly triangle things, those Jelly things that have a sprinkling of Sugar, some hard mallow type things that don't taste that mallow-y, and the things in the above picture that are pink in colour with the white centres. have never decuded what they actually are. They taste like a soft candy type substance! Anyone explain them better? Let me know. These tasted alright and I wouldn't say they tasted che...more

I'm not really much of a sweets fan really. I do have a sweet tooth but this tends to manifest itself with chocolate cravings and sticky puddings! I do eat sweets but they're not the first thing I go for. So it wasn't for nibbles that I initially bought the Asda Smart Price Dolly Mixtures, it was actually for cupcake decorations for my daughter's birthday party! Didn't really want to spend too much on what was just an extra on the cakes so decided to go for the Smart Price variety over the more expensive ones - and I'm glad I did! Dolly Mixtures are a variety of different fondant shapes in different colours and flavours along with some sugar coated jelly ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A mixture of dolly delights! (240 words)

I reviewed a bag of Haribo dolly mixture a little while a go which I thought were really, really good but they are expensive so this time around I thought I'd try these Asda smartprice ones which seemed a fairer price at 30p for a 175g bag. The bag consists of the standard sweets that you get in any dolly mixture including pastel squares, jellied buttons and cubes that appear to have a crunchy outer edge. They actually don't look any different to any other dolly mixtures and you probably wouldn't beable to tell the difference if they were placed next to a more expensive brand. I felt that these were as good as the Haribo ones and I couldn't fault ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Asda Smart Price Dolly Mixtures: They're not Dolly's, they're mine! (353 words)

My partner and I are always looking for ways to make our constant cinema excursions cheaper, and one of the best ways to do this is look out for large bags of cheap sweets to buy, rather than the expensive branded sweets or popcorn that the Odeon sells. Last week on one of our trips to Asda we spotted a 175 gram bag of Asda Smart Price Dolly Mixtures for sale for just 30 pence. The bag was stuffed full with yummy looking sweets so we decided to give them a try. The packet for these sweets is a classic Smart Price white and green affair. It has a sweet shaped clear part that you can see the contents through, so you can check out the merchandise before ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review CHEAP SWEET TREAT (255 words)

I picked up a bag of these after reading a review about them. I liked the look of the picture on here, and also the price of 30p for a 175g bag was tempting to try. I like Jelly sweets and can't think the last time I had Dolly Mixtures. The bag design isn't that exciting. It is a thin cellophane bag, which is sturdy enough. It is white and it has a see through panel on the front where you can see the Sweets through, so you know what you are buying. The writing is in green. This is part of the Asda Smart Price range, which is the budget range in Asda. There's an alright mixture in here, and a mix of different colours an indeed flavours. Premium Review Asda Smart Price Dolly Mixtures: Good Golly Dolly (234 words)

Asda smart price Dolly Mixtures. I've always been a big fan of dolly mixtures, one of my top ten sweets of choice so I was really keen to try Asdas smart price version. They come in the standard smart price, green and white packet and contain 175g, currently priced at 30p, what a bargin! They contain no artificial colours, flavours or aspartame which is always a good start and the pack in question had a long "best before" date, although to be fair it's unlikely they'd have lasted to the end of the week let alone next year. There is a chance of nut or seed traces which could be an issue to those with ...  Read the complete review
