Asda smart price eggs

I find the packaging on these eggs good as the packaging is plastic so I do find I tend to get less broken eggs on my travels home from the supermarket. Tho on the other side I do some times find the packaging hard to open so you have to give it a good pull (do worry one day I will pull to hard and they will all end up over the floor)

The eggs them self are very small, If a recipe asks for two I find I have to use 3 of these eggs. as for the taste of the eggs to me eggs just taste like eggs weather they from free range or caged hens. These eggs are 88p per six so that works out at 14.6p per egg where as asda other eggs from caged hens work out at 22p per egg

On the down side these eggs are from caged hen asda do say they meet minimum housing and welfare requirements for caged hens. I do find I do feel a little bad for these hens when I buy these eggs but some times I am afraid money talks

Summary: if budget wont go to free range then a good buy
