Foamy fruits are the sweet that I love to hate. If I am in the mood for them then I will throw a bag of these into my trolley for just 28p. The sweets come in here flavours and these are strawberry, ornage and banana. Each flavour resembles the shape of the fruit but they are rather pale in colour. These sweets are soft in texture and would be easily managed by a small child if you dare to give them one. I personally wouldn't because they contain 77g of sugar per bag! They tend to dissolve in your mouth as you are chewing and they aren't one of those annoying sweets that get stuck in your molars which is a bonus. The taste is very bland ... I spotted these in the sweet aisle of Asda recently and decided to give them a try as I am always trying to save a few pennies while still enjoying the things in life that I love (and sweets is one of these!). These sweets are packaged in a plastic bag which is heat sealed and is easy enough to open, the packaging is very basic but this is all I would expect from these sweets. I also find the packaging easy to spot on the shelf as I recognise the smartprice packaging. There are lots of sweets in the bag and they are strawberry, banana & orange flavoured foam sweets which are quite well flavoured, they did have some fruit flavour to them but I ... At one point in time Asda's Smartprice Foamy Fruits were my favourite sweets. For some reason I just really loved them and would have chosen them over anything else. I say 'at one point' and 'would have' because now I'm not too keen on them. I can eat them but I just wouldn't go mad for them. Asda's Foamy Fruits come in a very plain and therefore rather cheap looking bag, but then again they do only cost 34p for 175g. The bag itself is made of plastic has is green and white in colour with a clear sweet shaped window that allow you to see the sweets inside. The name of the sweets in question is then printed on the front of the bag in along with the information ... Read the complete review

Whenever we go to the cinema, my partner likes to buy pic n mix sweets, primarily consisting of the foam-style ones, such as 'pink shrimps' and 'foamy bananas'. This of course costs a ridiculous amount of money: at Odeon prices, you will pay around £3 for a very small bag of pic n mix, probably around 150 grams worth (although this is just an estimate). So when I saw these foam fruits in Asda for the tiny price of 31p for 175 grams, I thought they must be worth a try, as next time we could take them with us to the cinema and save a good amount of money! The packaging on these is basic, just a white background with green writing and a green strip across the ... Read the complete review

These are among my favourite sweets. You normally find foamy sweets in pick n mix but they tend to be expensive costing at least a £1 for 175g . The Asda value foamy sweets only cost 28p for a whole 175g which I think is very cheap and a good bargain. I cant really tell the difference from the pick and mix foamy mix and the Asda value ones, they all seem to have the same taste, which I why I decide to buy the Asda value foamy sweets and save my pennies. These sweets taste so good that I always finish a whole pack within a day, although I do try to save some for the following day. They may be called foamy fruits but they are not made from real fruits, the contain ... Read the complete review
