**** Introduction ****
While doing my weekly shop this evening, I made the mistake of going while I was peckish, which therefore resulted in me filling the trolley full of junk food.
While looking for nice goodies to eat I came across these Ginger Nut biscuits, as I had not eaten these for years I knew I had to have them.
Once I got home I made a nice hot cup of tea and settled down with a new bought packet of biscuits.
***** The Biscuits *****
These ginger nuts are from the Asda value range and cost 36p a packet, which is very reasonable as the branded ginger nuts cost well over twice the price.
Anyway each packet contains 20 perfectly rounded biscuits at are two inches in width and half a centemeter thick.
Once you open the packet you get a huge waft to the stong ginger smell, which really starts to tickle your taste buds.
I personally find these very hard, to hard to eat alone so a hot cup of tea is needed for you to dunk them. this softens them enough so that you dont need a filling, but does not soften them too much so they fall and land in the tea.
**** My Views *****
I personally found these lovely just as good as the branded version, I would definately buy these again.
admittedly the packaging does not look fantastic but these dont hang around once they have been opened as they are so morish, I actually ate half a packet of biscuits and soilt my tea because of it.
I advise anyone who shops in asda to try these.
Summary: Highly recommended by me.
