Advantages: They have got a nice ginger taste
Disadvantages: Too hard for my liking
It's Asda week this week and my mum did her big online shop at the weekend and ordered a load of Smart Price stuff to try and save some money on the shopping because some of it's as good as the brand names.
She got a few different sorts of Smart Price biscuits because we've had them before so she knows they're usually ok. I'm not mad keen on these ginger nuts though because they're a bit hard and crunchy and that's not as good as it sounds because they are uncomfortably hard to bite even though ginger nuts usually are harder than other biscuits.
The ginger flavour of them is nice and they are a bit stronger than the ones my mum got from Sainsburys last week. They're not very sweet but are wicked when you dunk them in a cup of coffee that has got plenty of sugar in it because the biscuit soaks up the coffee and that tastes dead nice.
The hardness of them makes it so that the biscuit doesn't fall into the cup like most ginger nuts do.
The flavour of the biscuits is nice it's just that them being so hard put me off and makes them seem like proper bad quality biscuits even though they have got the best ginger taste out of all the cheap biscuits we've tried.
For 34p I reckon they're worth you trying if you don't mind hard biscuits, I know my dad loves these and thinks they're the best ginger nuts and I suppose they're not that bad over all and are a lot cheaper than the next brand up from these.
Summary: Cheap But Not The Best Quality Ginger Nuts I DOn't Think
