I normally like to cook all of my food from 'scratch' but there are times when I am in a rush or generally just too tired so I have a few things around that are quick and easy to do. This golden vegetable rice from Asda cost just 20p for a 120g packet and it contains no artificial colours, preservatives or flavours. The packet is easy enough to open and then all you need to do is pop it in ¾ pint of water and stir for around 18-20 minutes. This does sound like a bit of a chore but you can leave it and give it a stir every now and again, it's the water that does the hard work. I love rice dishes and I like easy to prepare foods too! Anyone who regularly reads my foody reviews will by now will be fully aware that I'm not much a cook and really I have no interest in being one either lol. I only have to feed myself and I'm so busy with gym and dating that when I want food... I WANT IT NOW! So I always look for stuff that mostly I can bung in the microwave and it's job done.
