I like the odd pack of Midget Gems, as I like Jelly sweets. I am trying a lot more budget brands to find out if there is a big taste difference, as the prices seem to be a lot cheaper. The Smart Price range is part of Asda's budget range.

So what is the sweets? They are little lumps of jelly which are quite hard. They are flat on the bottom and kind of ridged on the top. There is a few different colours, so a few different flavours such as

Red - Strawberry
Orange - Orange
Black - Licorice
Yellow - Lemon
Green - Lime

It could be because they are a cheaper brnad, but I found that I could taste the flavour, but it seemed a bit weak and didn't taste it for long. They aren't as juicy as other ones i've tried.

The packaging is pretty basic, as is all Smart Price packaging. It is a white bag with green writing and green colouring in parts. There is a see through bit on the front and you can see the sweets through this bit. it states there is no artificial colours or flavouring.

The bag is 175g and this cost me 79p, so a good bit cheaper than other brands.
