Asda Smart price range is great and the sweetcorn is another great addition. If like me you add sweetcorn to various meals that you are cooking and you are trying to keep the costs down I would definately recommend these to you. The sweetcorn comes in a 324g tin for 34p which is a very reasonable sized tin especially for the money and although not branded like Green Giant it doesn't have the branded price tag. The sweetcorn comes in salted water so I would recommend that you wash these under cold water before adding them to your cooking to make sure that you don't make things too over salty. The packaging for the tins is the normal ... Read the complete review

Asda Smart Price Sweetcorn is something I have only recently got involved in. Its 34p for a 324g tin and thats enough to feed four people easily, as its a fairly large tin. Ok so how does it look, well its not a looker by any means, in its ugly white and green packing, the tin screams discount brand, it looks cheap and immediately you realise you shouldn't expect too much from it, but you'd be wrong as I don't think its much different to more expensive brands in Sainsburys. Because there are so many kernels in a tin, I found I could use halve in a pasta concoction I created and save the other half for the next night, when the tin was opened the ... If you are a sweetcorn buff, you will know that a tin of green giant (despite their cute adverts) is quite pricey, costing sometimes up to £1 for the larger tins. Of course, when in the supermarket and you see this little beauty next to it for just 34p, you've got to ask yourself if the extra cost is really worth it. I'm happy to report, that in this case it is. As with all the smart price products, the sweetcorn in the range has the usual branding with the green and white, which isn't that delightful to look at, but there IS a picture of the sweetcorn to lighten up the tin and at least it is very recognisable and easy to grab in a hurry. It can often be ... Read the complete review

ASDA SMART PRICE SWEETCORN Using the cheaper brands is a must in this climate at the present time, im all for saving a bit on my shopping bill, so brought a few tins of this Asda Smart Price tinned sweetcorn to try. THe Tin ********** Comes in the usual green and white labelled tin with a picture of their sweetcorn in a bowl for you to clearly see. Does not have a pull ring top but then again this is reflected in their price of 29p per tin, and doesnt bother me in the slightist. Their smart range is exceedingly good value for money, i use sweetcorn to add with peas to any type of meal i am searving i ... Read the complete review

I bought three small tins of Asda sweetcorn as part of an online shopping basket some time ago. I know that tinned sweetcorn would never beat the taste and freshness of corn on the cob but I thought that a tin of sweet corn would come in handy now and again for salad or pasta dishes. In particular I often use it as part of a tuna and pasta dish, although a chicken, sweetcorn and mayonnaise sandwich is also a treat. It had been a while since I'd bought tinned sweetcorn and before buying these tins I was wary that the sweetcorn might be overly sweet as I seemed to have a recollection of this in the past with a popular brand. However, upon opening a tin and ... Read the complete review
