ASDA SMART PRICE SWEETCORN
Using the cheaper brands is a must in this climate at the present time, im all for saving a bit on my shopping bill, so brought a few tins of this Asda Smart Price tinned sweetcorn to try.
THe Tin **********
Comes in the usual green and white labelled tin with a picture of their sweetcorn in a bowl for you to clearly see. Does not have a pull ring top but then again this is reflected in their price of 29p per tin, and doesnt bother me in the slightist.
Their smart range is exceedingly good value for money, i use sweetcorn to add with peas to any type of meal i am searving i think the the two combined add a little bit of colour to your plate and thats important appearance and pleasing images to your eyes as well as your belly.
I love tuna pasta and sweetcorn, and once i openned the can found it was full of plump piece of sweetcorn and it was not bad at all. Obviously it is never going to be as good as the jolly green giant but as i have said for the price it is currently on sale for i have no complaint with this product.
I like to add sweetcorn to a number of pasta dishes i cook on a regular basis and find the asda smart priced sweetcorn ok not as sweet as others but then as i usually mix mine in with something else it does the job.
I prefer to use the tinned varieties of sweetcorn as appossed to the frozen packets as feel that it does have a little bit more taste.
I also use mine to add to tuna sandwiches and loads of pasta dishes.
I would definetely be buying this product again, the company claims that this is produced in Britian and i am all for buying british products when i can afford them. Asda smart priced labelled varieties are a must on my shopping list, any savings i make are going towards a holiday that it is long overdue.
Thanks for reading and rating myreviews. x
Summary: will be buying this again.

- 22/05/09 I normally use Green Giant for everything sweetcorn, but unless you're adding it to salads or eating them with peas, you don't need the premium stuff. A good steer and nicely reviewed. 8^) |
