Advantages: Great value for money, good sized tin
Disadvantages: Need to remember to rinse first
Asda Smart price range is great and the sweetcorn is another great addition. If like me you add sweetcorn to various meals that you are cooking and you are trying to keep the costs down I would definately recommend these to you.
The sweetcorn comes in a 324g tin for 34p which is a very reasonable sized tin especially for the money and although not branded like Green Giant it doesn't have the branded price tag.
The sweetcorn comes in salted water so I would recommend that you wash these under cold water before adding them to your cooking to make sure that you don't make things too over salty.
The packaging for the tins is the normal white and green Asda smart price labels and nothing special to write about but then again its not the outside of the tin that your really interested in.
The content is sweetcorn, yellow and sweetcorn shaped and tastes like sweetcorn. Occasionally when using these I have noticed a few which are slightly paler than the rest or have bit of brown at the ends but these are vey easy to remove and just throw away.
Overall these are a great addition to your stock cupboard if you are adding them to any meal that you are cooking and great value for money. even if you have these on their own as an addition to meal they look and taste like sweetcorn just remember to rinse first!!
Summary: Great store cupboard essential
