Asda Bourbon Smart Price biscuits are an excellent bargain at just 13p if you like the very sweet taste. I normaly buy McVitties Bourbon biscuits which tend to be slightly less sweet and darker in colour. I estimate that you get about 15 sandwich type biscuits in a packet . I was unable to find the weigh details on the packet which had already been torn apart when I got to it. (At home I mean, not in store). That shows how popular these are in my house. Each biscuit contains: 65kcals 2.9grms of fat 0.3grms salt. That's a lot of fat for one biscuit. A recent recall of all McVitties produced bourbon ... Read the complete review

I would hate to actually think about the amount of these bourbons that my kids have eaten over the years, I'm sure you'd be able to fill a dumper truck or two. There are two reasons for this, one that they taste great, and two that they are cheap at just 23p a packet. Typical values Per 100g Energy 479kcal Protein 5.5g Carbohydrate 66.2g Fat 21.4g Fibre 3.4g Sodium 0.10g For people with allergies they could contain nuts, and contain wheat and gluten. This equals 65 calories per biscuit, so they are very high in calories indeed, because let's face it you never eat just one biscuit ... Read the complete review

Asda 'Smart price' is the no-frills label associated with the cheaper end of the products scale. The cheapest of the product range is derived from the fact that the packaging of the product is very basic, hence the label 'no-frills'. It is also believed that the actual product is inferior with regards to quality as well, in this instance that is not the case. The smart price bourbon biscuits can be found in the familiar green and white packaging associated with smart price products. They currently sell for 23p for a 200g pack which is great value. The other bourbon biscuits asda sell are asda bourbon creams (blue packet) which are 58p however the packet ... Read the complete review

These are definitely dippers!! Right the fact that I love Bourbons in general could mean I could be a little biased in what I say about these. I am afraid I didn't count these, so I can't say for certain how many are in there, but there are enough for me in a pack for one sitting with a cup of tea (or coffee or hot chocolate). Okay, that might be a little greedy, perhaps these will last an afternoon. So what to expect? the packaging is basic, in the typical and recognisable green and white of the Asda smartprice image. But hey who cares about the packaging?? What are they like? Well after you have struggled getting the ... Read the complete review

Asda have really come up with a winner here: a big packet of chocolate biscuits, based on the old bourbon favourite, for just 17 pence. Even in our credit-crunch economy, it's tough to get such a bargain, yet this is no small packet either, containing over a dozen biscuits. The bourbon is a sandwich biscuit filled with chocolate flavour cream. You would think at least one of those elements would be poor quality what with the bargain price, so let me tell you: The biscuit itself is brown in colour, with a light coating of sugar. It is crunchy and brittle, and easily breaks apart in your mouth. The sugar coating gives it a sweet first taste, but when ... Read the complete review
