Advantages: Tasty and cheap

Disadvantages: A little too sweet

I would hate to actually think about the amount of these bourbons that my kids have eaten over the years, I'm sure you'd be able to fill a dumper truck or two. There are two reasons for this, one that they taste great, and two that they are cheap at just 23p a packet.

For people with allergies they could contain nuts, and contain wheat and gluten.

This equals 65 calories per biscuit, so they are very high in calories indeed, because let's face it you never eat just one biscuit at a time, you have to have two at least. And there are other snacks which are more filling but have less calories. But then again you don't eat biscuits expecting them to be good for you.

The biscuits are nice and crunchy, and the filling is soft and creamy, they're quite sweet, certainly sweeter than McVities bourbons, but not so sweet that they taste sickly.

They also make decent dunkers, which is a very important thing in a biscuit. They don't manage the 2 minutes that a new biscuit I saw on This Morning can do, but I've never ended up with a soggy bourbon mess at the bottom of my tea cup either.

For the price you can't go wrong with these biscuits, I'm giving them a four star rather than five, purely because they are slightly sweeter than the branded version, and I would like it if they reduced the sugar amount, but apart from that I can't fault them.
