... wicked. They're processed cheese and cheese flavoured instead of being 100% actual cheese so not something I'd have in a butty because I like a proper mature cheddar in my sandwich. The slices are all individually wrapped and are very orange in colour, they surprised me with how creamy and tasty they were. On the bbq they melted good onto the burger and I loved how the hot cheese slice went so good with the ketchup and mayo. They didn't melt too slowly and the whole slice went hot, they melted just right I thought be...more

We had our last bbq of the year last weekend and when I went food shopping I got 2 packs of Asda Smart Price cheese slices to put on the burgers, they was an afterthought and by the time I got to the cheese aisle I was nearly running out of budget so these had to do even though I really wanted another brand but they were £1.19 a pack and I hadn't got enough money! lol Anyway, we had our bbq and these cheese slices were wicked. Premium Review Rubbery and bland, but my daughter loves them (298 words)

Cheese slices - something I remember well from my early days , their slightly rubbery texture and rather scary orange hue being often whacked between two slices of bread and expected to satisfy me as a packed lunch. To me, they never quite cut it as a cheese - to me cheese is a strong, firm object, with a nice whiff to it, and a nice strong flavour . Now that I'm a little older though, and feeding my own daughter on a budget, I have started to buy these - they're only 50p for 10, working out at a mere 5 pence each, and my daughter likes the taste - it's not as though I'm forcing her to eat something she dislikes. We discovered she liked them after ...  Read the complete review

I could never have been described as the world's biggest fan of artificial cheese slices. That said though, they have always been present in my fridge and on my shopping last as my partner loves them and uses them regularly. Taking them on a variety of snacks such as crackers, sandwiches and baguettes, they can often be seen disappearing into my other half's packed lunch. I, myself had often been fed these as a child on my packed lunch and had seldom eaten them since, so unimpressed was I with their quality and taste. Until recently, that was... Finding myself at a loss as to what to make myself for my lunch the other week, the term ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Retro but Tasty (215 words)

10 individually wraped, rather floppy and orage colored cheese slices per pack. Until about three days ago, I never saw the point of 'Cheese Flavoured Slices', my argument was, why have them when you can just buy cheese! Well... the thing I learned was that if you are expecting these to taste, or comparing them too a nice block of cheddar you are going to be disapointed. However, if you have the attitude that they are not cheese but are amazing for WHAT they are, you may develop and additction like I have! I found these in my fridge after a friend hosted a BBQ and insisted that we all took some food home! Feeling lazy one night, i decided to put ...  Read the complete review
