I have always been a fan of lots of the Smartprice products and when my budget is tight this Smartprice cheese spread is the ideal way of having something that I really enjoy whilst still saving some pennies and not spending too much on my shopping bill. Asda Smartprice Cheese Spread is provided in a circular plastic tub with a plastic removable lid. The cheese spread is kept hygienic and fresh by a foil lid which can easily be peeled back. The cheese within is processed cheese made with cheddar cheese and it's deliciously soft and very easy to spread (as the name would suggest!). This cheese has a mild taste to it and it's by one of my favourite ... Read the complete review

Smart Price cheese spread is another one of my Smart Price favourites. Although unusually for children neither of mine like cheese spread at all, whether it's Smart Price or Dairylea. So I can eat the whole tub all to myself (not in one sitting of course). I do like Cheese spread, as I like the taste of Cheese, but not so much a Cheddar Cheese. Since Cheese spread is a lighter taste then that is what I like to have on my Sandwiches. Often I will put a few bits of Ham on as well and be fancy and have a Ham and Cheese Sandwich. I had always reached for Dairylea. Not because it is a brand name, more so I know with Dairylea I get a nice creamy Cheese taste, but when in Asda last week I decided to put the Dairylea down and try this one. After all it is part of the Asda budget brand so it wouldn't have cost a fortune if I didn't like it. The tub was 150g and cost 38p. The tub isn't that exciting looking. ... Read the complete review

I couldn't be classed as a regular Asda shopper but occasionally my niece will phone me and ask me if I fancy going with her for a change. Asda George is my favourite part of the store, talk about spend a little get a lot! But I admit I get a bit frustrated with the store in general, there are so many aisles it`s unbelievable and if you forget something that was in aisle one and by then you have moved onto aisle twelve then it takes twenty minutes to battle your way back! One more little thing that I have noticed is that they often announce special offers over the store tannoy system and they may well be good money saving offers but I am reluctant to traipse ... I was out shopping with my sister a few weeks ago, picking up bits and pieces I'd forgot to get on my online shop. One thing I don't really buy regularly, but fancied at the time, was cheese spread. I picked up a tub of ASDA's smart price cheese spread, and my sister gave me a horrified look and said 'You're not really going to buy that are you?!'. Well, I used to buy Somerfield's budget cheese spread years ago and that was always OK (although still twice the price of this one!), so I didn't see the harm in giving this one a go. The cheese spread comes in a white plastic tub with green writing and is very basic looking. Despite that, the tub is quite sturdy, ... Read the complete review
