i used to buy these for my two sons when they were a little bit younger because they absolutely love it after their tea with custard on the top. after having tried it myself i no longer buy them anymore and i will tell you the reasons why later. the swiss roll comes in a see through packet with green and white labelling on it. it feels quite squidgy to the touch which i think is nice as i dont like sponge when it is dry. it cost about 15p when i used to buy it which i think is great value for money. anyway back to my reasons, which are, 1. i feel that there isnt enough sponge as it is quite thin. 2. the buttercream tastes quite fatty and it left a greasy feel in the ...

I do not have a sweet tooth but here I was in the mood for a sweet treat and it was the day before our big shop, my wife was out with the grandkids and there was nothing that I would usually have as a sweet snack so after a good rake around I came across an Asda smart price chocolate Swiss roll. Asda smart price swiss roll is delicious. It is wrapped in a basic plastic wrapper, no frills or fancy bits but that helps to keep the price down which is great but be aware that you will easily squash this cake wholst shopping if not careful so dont put it at the bottom of your trolly, in the bottom of a shoping bag or under anything in your boot or you will have squashed swiss roll.
