Asda Smartprice Fry or Oven Chips Straight Cut 1.5 kg I was pleasantly surprised when I bought these Smart Price chips from Asda for I tried ASDA Steak Cut Oven Chips (1.81Kg) once before and they were of a very poor quality? Then why did I buy these? Because the 1.5kg bag is for no more than 64p; I thought if these weren't good I will just throw them away with nothing to lose. If you are student or just shopping on a budget (which most people are nowadays) then I could recommend these Asda Smartprice Oven or Fry chips. At just 64pence for 1.5kg bag, they really warrant the phrase 'cheap as chips'! The first thing I will say about these chips is that they are suitable for vegetarians (which you will be surprised to know that some freezer chips aren't). These chips are fairly basic with only two ingredients: Potatoes and Vegetable Oil (which really should be the only products in your freezer chips).
