Asda Smartprice Mixed Dried Fruit

Tis the season to be jolly fa la la la la. Yep folks its October which means the supermarket shelves are jam packed with advent calendars and Christmas crackers. The more organised amongst you will have made Christmas cakes way back in September to enable you to feed them on a weekly basis in order to cram as much alcohol as possible into them. On the odd occasion I will buy the little boxes of raisins for the boys but it works out a lot cheaper for me if I keep the little boxes and refill them with this dried fruit. It is available from Asda and costs around 60p for a 500g bag. The pack contains both raisins and sultanas, currants, orange peel and lemon peel. The main content of the bag is the sultanas which at 44% is not too bad at all. I think is about standard for bags like these and I don't mind this because I prefer sultanas to raisins or currants.
