At just 22p for a 550 gram jar, these new potatoes are certainly well priced, but what about the taste.

The best thing in my opinion about these is they are peeled already, which saves a lot of effort for me (I hate peeling potatoes).

The worst thing is they can be of all different sizes which makes them hard to cook consistently. I boil them in a pan of water and find the small ones soft by the time the big ones are done.

Taste-wise, they taste of nothing! They're very neutral and bland, and you have to add something to them for flavour. We tend to eat them with Salmon to bulk out the fish and they do a good job of that.

All in all an excellent product, but they could do with being the same size in the tin to really win me over. However, it sure does save peeling your own!
