I first started purchasing this product when looking for new meal accompaniments for my children to try. At 20p for a 400g tin, I thought that it was definitely worth a try as at 20p it wasnt going to break the bank and if my children didnt like then I just simply wouldnt buy it again. Fortunately my children loved it and they now tend to have some of this product every couple of weeks with a jacket potato and this has become one of their favourite meals. Like other reviewers have previously said, this ravioli is not served in a bolognese type sauce, but instead it is served in a rich tomato sauce which I actually quite like. It is rich and tastes a little ... Read the complete review

I tend to buy this every now and again but every time I eat I am reminded of the fact that it's cheap rubbish and don't pick it up again for a while. In my opinion this is one of Asda's own brand that really does not cut it which is quite odd for me because I love the smartprice range usually. It costs around 20p for a tin of this and on the tin it is described as beef ravioli in a tomato sauce. It is obviously only available from Asda but I'm pretty sure most other supermarkets have a cheap alternative too. When you open the tin you are hit with the smell of the tomatoey sauce and to be honest that is all you can see. The ravioli is no where to be ... Read the complete review

I have one hour today between two of my classes, so just enough time to grab a quick lunch and write a cheeky short review too. I had a quick rummage through my cupboards for something that would be quick to make yet enough to fill me up, and came across this tin of Asda Smartprice Ravioli. I bought this absolutely ages ago, as it was cheap and looked like an easy meal, but haven't gotten around to eating it until now as I've never really been in the mood for it. I decided, however, that today is the day, and so this ravioli is now my lunch and the subject of this review. This tin costs 20p and contains 400g of beef ravioli in a tomato sauce. It can be cooked ... Read the complete review

I like ravioli because it tends to be served in a bolognese sauce rather than a tomato sauce. Unfortunately with the Smart Price Ravioli this isn't the case, the sauce is very tomatoey and very artificial tasting, they also seem to have gone overboard with the sweetners, because it's a very sweet sauce as well, and there's an awful lot of sauce, I'd say a good half of the tin is pure sauce. The ravioli parcels stay quite firm after being heated through, so that's one good thing about them. There also seems to be a distinct lack of ravioli in the tin as well. Normally I would be able to share a tin of this size between the three of us quite comfortably, but ... Read the complete review
