... good. They are mega salty and it makes your mouth dry but that's to be expected from salted nuts. The only thing I didn't really like about the Smartprice peanuts was how greasy they feel in my fingers, they haven't got a madly greasy taste but left my hands in a bit of a mess after I'd eaten them and you can also feel the grease on the inside of the bag. The nuts have got a nice texture, they're not hard like some cheaper nuts are. You can tell they're not the best quality in the world because the nuts haven't g...more

I love peanuts and every now and again I just can't resist munching through a whole bag. I refuse to pay for a name brand packet because I believe that the stores own are just as good in most cases which is why I always opt for these Asda Smartprice salted peanuts. The nuts come in a 200g bag and cost 27p. Obviously they are only available from Asda but I am pretty sure that other stores do there own version of nuts. When I open the bag I am always overwhelmed by the smell of the nuts and wonder how on earth the name brands actually justify charging the prices they do after all a nut is a nut right? I tend to eat mine by the handful so I ...  Read the complete review

Peanuts are one of the healthiest snacks you can have around the house (unless you're allergic) and these Asda Smartprice nuts are a very cheap tasty snack and offer pretty good value for money. At the time of writing a 200g pack will only cost you 27p Contrary to what their name suggests, peanuts are not really nuts but a member of the legumes family that includes peas, lentils, chickpeas and other beans. And peanuts do not grow on trees. The short plant produces a ground flower that due to its heavy weight bends towards the ground and eventually burrows underground where the peanut actually matures. A wrinkly brown shell or pod is produced containing two or ...  Read the complete review

I had tried the Tesco Value Salted Peanuts a while back and they were alright, so I decided in the name of research I would try these as well. If I didn't like them, then I know I could take them along to my dad and he would scoff them, and I would make money by reviewing them! This range is the Asda budget range. They only came in a 200g bag and cost me 24p. Bargain compared to KP Nuts, but I wasn't expecting the same amount of quality. The bag didn't look that exciting. The bag is white and has the Asda Smart Price writing in the light green colouring. YOu could see the Nuts fill a good amount of the bag through the pack. When I opened ...  Read the complete review

I got a 200g bag of these salted peanuts from Asda because I couldn't believe they were so cheap and I wanted to try them, they are less than 30p which is nearly half the price that I paid for a small bag of KP nuts the other day. I think these are wicked peanuts and can't see why people still pay the big brand prices when these are just as good. Asda salted peanuts are good value for money in terms of buying a bulk amount for quite cheap. I think you can get a 100g bag for 50p or so. So if you are on a budget and trying to have a childrens party these can be a very good option. But I recently read that nuts that aren't organic are dangerously over processed from the day they are picked and can sometimes become toxic to the body. The high fat content in nuts means they hold onto pesticides more than other foods might and so this makes it important to buy organic nuts where possible. Especially if you are giving them to children. (Although the old adage goes, I grew up on them and they didn't do me much ...  Read the complete review
