Loops not hoops! (Asda Smartprice Spaghetti Loops)

Advantages: Good tasting and good quality spaghetti.

Disadvantages: A poor tasteless sauce.

My grand kids eat spaghetti like it is going out of fashion and I always make sure I have plenty in for them if they come to stay or even if they are just over for lunch or tea.

On a recent trip to Asda I decided to give the Smart price spaghetti loops a try and I am quite glad I did.

These are exactly the same to look at as the Heinz spaghetti hoops but they are a bit different in taste although still good.

The loops themselves are fine and very good quality for the tiny price, the real difference comes in the sauce which for the kids made no difference but I always like to dip some buttered bread in my spaghetti so the sauce put me off a bit.

The sauce is quite watery and basically tasteless so for my dipping habits these loops are no good but my grand kids loved them and as the sauce has very little salts and sugars in it, it is better for them than the Heinz offering.

At 14p per tin these loops are great value for money but as I say the sauce is thin and tasteless so if you are a dipper like me or the sauce is a big deal to you then best stick to what you know best but if the main thing is the spaghetti itself or the health issues then these are well worth a try!
