Advantages: Price
Disadvantages: Taste
General Info
---------------
I tried this product at university when i started going through absolutely tonnes of ketchup in order to try and make my food taste slightly nicer! The price is great, the taste is not, and therefore it is not something i will be getting again in a hurry.
Price
------
As a smartprice product, you expect it to be cheap, and it really does not let you down. The price is a mere 40p for a massive 550g bottle, which compared to that of the heinz variety is a big big saving of about £1 everytime you go to the shops.
Although this does not sound much, it does allow some extra room for other products in your basket!
Taste
-------
However, there is one aspect which lets this product down, and that is the second most important one. The taste is absolutely abysmal and really does not resemble ketchup at all.
I have been on holiday to Greece a number of times and they never seem to have Heinz ketchup out there, and this smartprice stuff seemed to taste the same as what they serve up.
It was bland, horribly salty and just not worth the money. Even for 40pence.
Summary
-----------
Unfortunately, most smartprice products at least are ok to taste, this one is not. Save money in your basket in some other ways, and stick to Heinz variety!!
Summary: 2 Stars merely because of the cheapness!!!
