I purchased some of these chips because I have recently started to make my own nachos and like to keep my food budget relatively low whilst still enjoying my favourite foods. The chips are in a 200g bag which costs just 50p at present from Asda stores or asda.co.uk. The bag is very simple in design and is pictured above. It is clear so that you can see the chips and they look the same as any other tortilla chip really yellow almost triangles with lots of bits in them (corn). It bears the usual white & green Asda Smartprice colouring. I used the chips to make nachos with a tomato salsa, onions & peppers etc and then I topped the whole thing ... Read the complete review

Tortilla Chips is something I always have at home; not only great as a snack in front of the TV but also a good ingredient for Mexican dishes. I got quickly used to the lightly salted flavour and prefer it now over stronger flavourings like cheese or chili. The ASDA tortilla chips totally convinced me - they are crunchy, tasty and not greasy at all! -------------------------- Packing The tortillas come in the well-known green/white ASDA Smartprice package. All important Nutrition info is printed on the back. You can see the crisps through the clear bag which can be quite a temptation when you actually don't want to buy them. ... Tortilla chips are a fantastic snack; enjoy them straight from the bag in front of a movie, or dress them up with cheese, sauces and other ingredients to create a more substantial meal to share with mates! Either way, they are a tasty and generall quite filling food. Asda Smartprice can be totally hit or miss and it is only fait to give each product a fair chance really! These tortilla chips were around 50p for a 200g bag, which is brilliant value to be fair, so if they turned out to be a bit rubbish then it wasn't a total waste of money! Packaging - the usual Smartprice green and white as above in the picture. Happily as the packet it see through, ... Read the complete review

We have been buying Asda smart price tortilla chips for years now, they are a staple in our household. They are one of my favourite products, with so many different ways to use them as well. They are really just the same as any normal Doritos that you get, expect they simply come in one flavour, plain, while Doritos come in other flavours such as chilli heatwave. They are crunchy, but don't have that much flavour which is why they are good served with things instead of by themselves. The only difference is that they seem to be quite salty compared to the other brands! The packaging is simple, showing that its a no frills brand since its just green ... Read the complete review

Asda's Smartprice Tortilla crisps are a lightly salted snack with a crunchy texture and a taste that is pleasant if a little bland, making them ideal fodder for munching through a film to or perhaps for accompanying a Mexican-style meal with a range of chilli dips. Its a very cheap and cheerful product that comes in a mostly transparent packet accompanied by the sparse Smartprice range packaging, and at just fifty pence for a 200 gramme bag they are a great deal, although Tesco's own budget brand of Tortilla crisps are just at nice and cost less than half that price for a similar amount, making them a prefereable purchase. There really is little to ... Read the complete review
