... laces out of the bag and untangle then as I ate. The laces are very pleasant and have a nice strawberry flavour to them. Each one is nice and sweet and doesn't leave a nasty after taste in your mouth. They are a good size and if you eat them individually then there is a fair bit of rope to contend with. They don't have much girth to them though but this is the case with all strawberry laces I think. I like to eat mine by tying a few together into a bow because you get more surface area to chew on. I find that ...more

I think with Asda Strawberry Laces you get what you pay for really, they are passable as sweets and taste good but if you compare them to the Tescos Strawberry Laces, they just seem to be missing some thing and arent really as firm in texture. Asda Strawberry Laces are available in Asda in the sweets ilse, they are in the 3 for £1 or 36p (approx) each to buy separatly. I think that this is a good price for these sweets and is a similar offer to the Tescos value sweets which also include strawberry laces in the offer. There is 70g in a packet of these sweets so this price is fair and good value in my opinion. The laces in a packet of these value ...  Read the complete review

Slowly working through writing reviews for the many sweet packets (empty I may add) lying on my desk. Asda's Stretchy Strawberry Boot Laces are the next in line. I ate these sweets well over two weeks ago now before my trip to Belgium so it's a good job there's a bright orange post-it note stuck on the packet outlining my thoughts of them at the time. Here goes.... The packet itself is tall and thin and on the whole rather pink and girly looking. It has a design of the front of a show with bright pink laces on it, which is in keeping with the product itself. The front of the packet also informs me that the sweets are free from artificial colours and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Asda Strawberry Laces: Tie up your laces.... (275 words)

I am a big lover of sweets so when I was in Asda today I just couldn't stop myself from picking up these sweeties! The packaging was calling out to me as it's very pretty and girly and I'm in a 'loving pink' kind of mood at the moment (sitting in pink PJs now!). The laces are a little waxy and take a fair while to chew but the taste of strawberry is there and it's pretty strong, it does taste very nice but if I could improve the product it would be to make the laces less waxy. I enjoyed mucking around with these, making bracelets with my niece and other various jewellery and just generally playing with our food before we ate it, it's nice ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Strawberry laces for ever! (250 words)

My kids loved strawberry laces so when I saw them in Asda for the first time in ages I thought I would grab some and see if my grandkids and see what they thought of them. My grandkids did like them but they got very little of them as I found myself eating more of them than they did. These are every bit as good as the ones I remember buying for my kids and at only 36p per bag or three for £1 they are inexpensive too. They take a bit of chewing to get through but they are very nice tasting and they actually taste like strawberry which a lot of the cheap strawberry laces of yesteryear did not. I will now be buying these ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Asda Strawberry Laces: Stick them up your nose & out of your mouth (292 words)

Part of the 3 for £1 range at Asda, the classic strawberry lace has come under Asda's own range. Each pack weighs 70g, and for that you can feast on a sweet that is 50% sugar, so not at all healthy. They're odd little sweets these laces, because they're not really that tastey. They have the consistency of limp rubbery plastic, and although they taste OK, the flavour is rather dull; there's no shocking or abrupt taste, no sugar coating to improve the texture, just the laces. Of course, the fun comes in how you eat them. I hold mine at one end and chew up to my fingers, pausing to swallow every now and again. Some people like to coil them up, or even ...  Read the complete review
