Advantages: It isn't the worst bread I have ever eaten and it is quite reasonably priced

Disadvantages: There are no ingredients or nutrional information labels, the crust chewy and the rest is doughy.

Fresh bread is absolutely one of my favourite foods but alas this Asda Tiger Bread (or Tiger Chest as they are now calling it) really doesn't make the grade as far as I am concerned. In fact most of the fresh bread offered at my local Asda store really isn't all that good either.
If I have no other choice of purchasing my bread anywhere else then this would probably do as it doesn't taste terrible and the cost is really quite reasonable but it really isn't something I can recommend (62pence for 400g).
The top of this bread often leaves a residue of stickiness that tastes aweful and (worryingly) is really hard to get off. I am unsure what it is as Asda do not publish the ingredients on their packaging for fresh bread (something else that I dislike). The crust is often chewy (which some people I know really like about it) and the inside is really incredibly doughy. I have taken to making stodgy hard balls out of the inside just to prove a point! As a sandwich, this bread is too heavy and gives me the hiccups and used to dip with food, it really lacks character and often mushes down in an unpleasant way.

Summary: Pretty poor compared to most other good bakery fresh breads.

I don't see the point in having bread that just looks groovy but doesn't have any taste - I thought the tiger print was cheese until I tried this. Boring!
