Advantages: tasty, rich, crumbly, lovely aroma

Disadvantages: messy, does not complement a great deal of foodstuffs.

A welcome change to traditional bread or buns, ASDA Tiger bread is a delicious, crusty loaf baked with sesame oil and rice paste which cracks in the oven forming the aesthetically pleasing rough striped pattern on the top, hence the name; Tiger bread.

Typically baked as a loaf or roll, The bread's interior has a rich, white, soft, almost creamy texture which contrasts perfectly with the tough, nutty, outer layer.

Tiger bread is probably best enjoyed on its own, sliced thin with butter, as its unusual texture and distinctive aroma and flavour does not necessarily go well with all foods.

The only sandwiches I feel go well with tigerbread are jam, as the tastes of the more savoury varieties of sandwiches such as cheese , salad or ham are often overpowered by the taste of the bread itself, unless enjoyed in very small slices.

Tiger bread is very crumbly, so its quite easy to make a mess with it if you are not careful!

Its pricing at ASDA is very reasonable.

Summary: A delicious and welcome change to your usual loaf.
