Advantages: Delicious and fluffy, easy to chew

Disadvantages: Slicing it is a little dissicult

I thought I would write a review on Asda Tiger bread as it is a very big hit in our house and it is an essential on every weeks shopping list!

I have tried other supermarkets tiger bread but you cannot beat Asda's version for taste! Especially if you can drop on when they have just baked a new batch and it is still warm!

M favourite meal is homemade leek and potato soup with tiger bread and butter mmm, that is a nice winter tummy warming supper!
What's also great is that you can buy it in two different sizes:

Sizes and Price:

The bigger 800G loaf costs £1.00 or the smaller 400g loaf can be purchased for 67p or 2 for £1.00,

Slicing the loaf:

I do find it very difficult to slice, however in both of my local Asda's they will slice it using their machine if you ask them to, but this is slices quite thin and if your like me and like nice thick slices, I would recommend turning it in its side, pinching where you would like to slice first and then using a large bread knife saw through to get a nice slice, it doesn't always work but it's worth a try, otherwise you end up flattening it if you just try to slice through it as you would an ordinary loaf.

Taste and texture:

It would be very hard to describe the taste, all I will say is try it and you won't be disappointed, it really is delicious.

It has a nice fluffy centre which melts in your mouth and the crust is not as hard as other home baked breads, therefore easy to chew.

Allergy Advice and Dietary Information:

*As with most bred - may Contain Nuts. * Contains sesame oil. * May contain traces of seeds.

Asda now even do a tiger baguette and tiger baps which are also delicious!

Summary: A lovely loaf to compliment any meal!
