Advantages: delicious.

We are all big fans of tiger bread in our house. Even my four year old son shouts across the bakery isle "Dont forget the tiger bread mam". It is his most favourite thing and he would rather have a chunk of that with jam than a bar of chocolate.
Asdas bake the bread in the instore bakery. Therefore as soon as you walk in to the store the smell of warm bread hits you. Me and my hubby are like the bisto kids following the smell around the isles. Every time we go shopping i lay down the law "We are not to have tiger bread this time because we are all going to get fat." However as soon as i enter that store I know that there will be a loaf in our trolley.
If you are lucky enough to go when they are baking a fresh batch then the bread will actually still be warm. Oh my word i have to resist just sitting down there and then and eating a big chunk of it!!
The bread looks every bit as good as it tastes. Golden brown with a crusty top. the bread is soft and doughy and so very fresh. The loaf is a large batch loaf and is more than large enough to feed the average family of four for atleast three days. You can ask the instore baker to slice the bread for you. There are two settings on the slicer, medium or thick and you can choose which you prefer. The cost for this mighty treat of a bread is a very reasonable one pound!! I think that that is fantastic value for money.
The downside
We get the bread with every intention of it lasting a few days and I have to admit in all the times we have bought this bread there is barely any left 24 hrs after purchase!! There is something about that bread that turns us all into sloths. We are back and forth to the kitchen slicing big chunks and smearing it with butter. Even the kids are nagging for another slice. I have all the best intentions of using it for sarnies but I seriously dont think i have ever made one sandwhich with it. In my opinion this bread is at its best with butter and jam. Two days after buying this bread I am standing on the scales in despair another pound on. And i have the cheek to wonder how on earth it has happened. So if you want to eat this bread i think you have to commit to another ten minutes in the gym just to work it off.
In conclusion this bread is great as a treat. It is so delicious that you will not be able to control the urge of nearly making yourself sick by being so greedy. I love it!! too much!!! and when i have to carry my belly around in a wheelbarrow ill know what to blame!!!( god i just read that last sentence back and it has brought me out in a cold sweat.) as soon as my jeans get a bit tight im never buying another loaf!!!!

Summary: gorgeous bread but dont go near if you want to still fit into your size 10 jeans next week!!!
