I try hard to make sure my family and I eat decent meals, and not just microwaved rubbish - however, sometimes, cooking can be too time consuming, or ingredients won't be to hand, or I'll be too preoccupied with other things to stay in the kitchen chopping things up and stirring pans . Thats why these jars are such a godsend! Found on the pasta aisle at asda, these cost less than a quid for a 500g jar. Theres a variety of flavours, and I've tried a few of them, but for this review I'll be concentrating on the Tuna and Sweetcorn variety . This sauce comes in a glass jar with a green lid, and one of those tamper-evident seals, that makes a satisfying ... Read the complete review

Sometimes when your in a hurry and gte in from work late you want something thats quick to prepare and can be left to cook without too much work. This jar is perfect for quick dinners. It costs just under a pound for a 500ml jar which is a bargain. It comes in a glass jar with green lid and has the asda branding on the label. You can find this jar in the pasta aisle at the supermarket and there is a variety of other flavours although I have only tried this one. It is a tomatoey sauce wtih tuna and sweetcorn and plenty of it. Its crammed with flavour and doesnt taste artificial or ready made at all. You simply pour dried pasta into an oven proof dish and add ... Read the complete review

Things tend to get a little bit mad in our house sometimes - what with a little boy full of energy running around, a baby girl who needs feeding, changing etc and a husband who works full time and then gets home and starts on the DIY around the house, so we can look at selling it. Finding the time to cook a family meal from scratch can be a bit of a daunting idea. On one of my recent shopping trips to Asda, I had a look to see if I could find something that would be quick and easy, but without being too unhealthy. I had a look at the pasta sauces section and thought these would be a good idea, but some of the branded ones were a bit expensive. On ... Read the complete review

Having just eaten this for my dinner, i thought that a bit of a review was in order. General Info --------------- Asda tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake sauce is a sauce which is added to pasta in order to make an easy and simply tuna pasta bake for dinner. It rivals ideas like Colmans use whereby the sauce is in powder form and is added to milk before placing in the over to create the dinner. Price ------ The tins are pretty much standard for the price you would pay for any tinned pasta sauce. They can usually be picked up for somewhere in between the £1 to £1.50 ... Asda Tuna & Sweetcorn Pasta Bake comes in a 500g jar and costs around 98p.They will also cost you 128 calories per half a jar. Pasta Bakes are perhaps one of the easiest dishes I like to do when we need a warming filling meal. This jar is very simple and easy to use and to turn a bag of pasta into a great tasting meal. Pouring the sauce on to the pasta in an ovenproof dish, then adding another jar full of water could not be easier. Quite often I add allsorts to pasta dishes but with this jar extra bits are barely necessary. With plenty of chunks of tuna and sweetcorn packed into this jar I rarely bother. I sometimes chop a red ... Read the complete review
