Premium Review Asda Wheat Bicks: weetabix eat your heart out. (363 words)

As a loyal ASDA shopper, I have tried a lot of products from their own brand. I haven't tried many smart price objects, but was advised to try their own range and was told that they're no different from the expensive brand names. for a box of 24 of these costs £1.15 from ASDA where the weetabix ones cost £1.78. Not a huge difference in price, but you're getting the exact same product for less. If you replace more brand items for ASDA items, those 63p savings will add up and the money stays in your purse instead! To buy a box of 48 of these only costs £2.15 where the weetabix are £3.33. A significant price difference now, so it would be better ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Exactly the same as weetabix (284 words)

I always have to have weetabix before I go to work mainly because it is the only cereal I have found which actually fills me up untill lunch time and secondly becasue it is proberly the healthiest type of cereal out there, however I find that buying weetabix can actually be quite expensive. Therefore on my next shopping trip I decided to buy Asda's own brand version. The packaging is simplier then that of weetabix but I supose that is to be expected. It comes in a similar size and shaped box, and is yellow with Wheat Bisks written in red quite large in the centre. It also has a picture of these wheat bisks on the front and I have to admite that from this ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Asda Wheat Bicks: Breakfast cereal with bite (275 words)

I love a good bowl of cereal for breakfast in the morning drenched in yoghurt and bananas (I dont do milk as it tends to make it too soggy for my liking) and weetabix is one of my faves, however I refuse to pay the high cost of branded "proper" weetabix and have turned to the supermarket own brands instead. Asda's turn on this popular breakfast cereal is called Asda Wheat Bisks and is easy to spot on the supermarket shelves due to the colourful bright orange packaging the bold name splashed across the front screaming at you to try it, I can almost imagine it saying "dont give in to Kellogs, they're the enemy eat me instead!" I'm happy to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review It's Weetabix - at half the price! (741 words)

~*~ Asda Wheat Bisks ~*~ It doesn't really take a genius to guess at what cereal 'Wheat Bisks' are a copy of does it? For those of you that don't know, Wheat Bisks are Asda's own version of the ever popular breakfast cereal, Weetabix. Their version comes in a bright yellow-orange box, not unlike the colour of the Weetabix box. Actually, the whole packaging of the product is very similar, except, of course of the trademark blue Weetabix bubble lettering - Asda have instead gone for red... ~*~ The benefits of wholegrain! ~*~ Wholegrain foods are better for you, full stop. This is a proven fact! Studies have shown that people who ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Asda Wheat Bicks: A Whea-Treat! (1373 words)

If it were nutritionally advised, I'd me more than happy to live on a diet of nothing more than yoghurts, and weetabix. I eat my way through so much that it's almost unreal. When you do end up enjoying as much bowls of weetabix as I do, you start to feel the strain with the price. That's when I set out looking for an alternative, and came across Asda's own version, Wheat Bisks. Wheat Bisks look like little bricks, and are made from wholegrain. If I'm honest, they don't look incredibly exciting; they're a dull shade of brown and look quite rough and crumbly. But if you open up your mind and let your fun side take over, they really can be something of ...  Read the complete review
