Often in pic'n'mix areas, the bag has to be weighed to determine the cost, and since white mice are rather heavy for such a low-quality product, they are not good value for money. Whilst I acknowledge that they are a classic piece of confectionary, I have never really considered White Mice at length, and am now baffled at the design, mainly the thinking behind 'eating mice.'...more

Premium Review Asda White Mice: Best left to Woolies (887 words)

~*~ Asda White Mice ~*~ Pick and mix sweets are one of my many weaknesses, even though I always tend to stick to the chocolate based rather than the chewy varieties. I love the Woolworths pick and mix counter which has a massive range of sweets including my number one favourite, white mice! It had been such a long time since I'd indulged in anything like this, so when I recently saw the new sweets introduced to the kids line at Asda at a bargain price, my eyes lit up, and I of course could not resist giving them a go! ~*~ The product ~*~ The Asda version of my favourite sweet come in a bright blue packet with a clear window so you ...  Read the complete review

I'm now slowly but surely working my way through Asda's brand of children's sweets and will in time duly review them on here. The bag I most recently picked up (and have eaten) is Asda White Mice and I have to say that once again I was more than impressed. These sweets like come in a 75g bag and cost 38p. They can also be bought on offer, which is 3 bags for a £1. Ok this doesn't save you a fortune, 14p in fact, but every penny counts. Asda White Mice come in a blue packet that has a picture of a very cute white, smiling mouse on the front. The words white mice are clearly shown in the front in, you'll never guess, white writing. The bag also has ...  Read the complete review

As far as pick'n'mix goes, White chocolate ch mice are generally considered a favourite, despite not tasting of white chocolate at all. The sickly sweet flavour mean that they often end up in the bottom of the bag when the buyer is finished. Even those with a sweet tooth will probably agree that it is difficult to enjoy more than one or two of them, and it certainly doesn't help that they tend to have quite a stale taste, and frequently melt in the bag, and stick to the sides, resulting in a sickly chewy papery snack...Yum. Asda do a delicious range of sweets, including Jelly Beans, Daisy Cows and Fudge. Though one of my favourites has to be the White Mice. The White mice come in bags with clear windows so you can view what you are buying. The mice are no longer than your pinkie finger and are a creamy shade in colour. They are flat onthe bottom, and have bumps on the top to make them look the same shape as a mouse, complete with ears, a nose and a tail bump too! The mice are quite crumbly when you bite into them, but do not take too long to melt with the heat of your mouth. They have an incredible sugar sweet taste and most definitely taste of creamy white ...  Read the complete review
