I love desserts! I have one almost every day after tea which normally consists of ice cream! The best way to eat ice cream is topped with one of these sauces! The flavours that you can find Askeys treat flavoured dessert sauces are toffee, strawberry, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and maple. All of the Treat ranges are free from artificial colours, flavourings and preservatives, and yet they have a long shelf life and don't need refrigerating! They come in a 325g bottle that is blue covered in a plastic coating on which has the 'Askey's' logo and the word 'treat' on in a fun font. It is coloured as the same as the sauce instead e.g. red for ...  Read the complete review

~About Askeys~ You wouldn't believe it but Askeys has been going strong for 99 years! It was first founded back in 1910 when the business was set up in Kensal Road, London by Laurens Tedeschi. It was Askeys who first brought the ice-cream cone into the UK. They now produce millions of ice-cream cones and wafers each year. In the decades after this time, they branched out into dessert toppings such as sauces and sprinkles and crackin. Crackin is mainly used on ice-cream. It is a sauce which then hardens before your eyes when squirted onto your ice-cream to give a crisp, crackly topping. ~Sauces~ Askeys product their 'Treat' dessert sauces in a ...  Read the complete review

To be honest I'm a savoury girl at heart but now and then my sweet tooth attacks and I just have to have something sweety for dessert! For me though you can't beat a simple bowl of ice cream with a sweet tasty sauce poured, yes poured not drizzled over the top! Whilst in sainsburys the other day I picked up a tub of their vanilla ice cream and browsed the shelf full of ice cream goodies, you know the ones, sprinkles, wafers and last but not least, sauces! I was met by a few bottles of Askeys dessert sauce, they came in a variety of flavours including chocolate and strawberry, they even had their own bottle of golden syrup but I decided to purchase ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fantastic sauce (304 words)

The other day I was having some ice cream and my Dad asked me if i wanted any chocolate sauce to go with it as there was a bottle that had been standing there untouched for ages. I said 'no I think I'm a bit old for that now' really associating ice cream sauce with jellies and the like. I changed my mind a few minutes later and thought I'd try some just out of curiosity. Askeys do five different flavours; milk chocolate, dark chocolate, strawberry, maple and toffee. The one we have and I am guessing the most popular of the bunch is the milk chocolate. All of them come in a dark blue bottle with easy flip lid and then the rest of the bottle is coloured ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Askeys Treat Flavour dessert Sauces: A BIT OF A TREAT! (386 words)

-0- CREATE A LITTLE MAGIC -0- I adore Ice-cream! Especially in the summer months and I like nothing more than to have a large bowl with several scoops, or a cornet of plain Vanilla ice cream, no adornments. I find it really refreshing and it cools me down after having been out in the sun. Sometimes however, a cheaper brand of ice-cream does need a partner, be it sprinkles, wafers, flake or some flavoured sauce. This is where' Treat ' steps in. Treat do a range of good flavoured sauces to accompany ice- cream. These lift the bland flavour of a budget ice -cream or an ice-cream of a cheap nature. I don't think good ice-cream needs any extra ...  Read the complete review
