Aunt Bessies Crinkle Cut Chips are actually really very good. I am always a bit dubious about frozen chips but these were the only thing in Sainsburys and I was making a steak dinner for my husband so thought they would go great with it. They were only £1.69 a bag and I had tried Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire puddings before which weren't bad so in the basket they went. On the bag they are described as generously cut whole potatoes for the crispiest, crinkliest, chips every time. They were very easy to cook. You place them on a baking tray (I like to line it with tin foil so the baking tray is easier to clean) and then put them in the oven for approximately ... Read the complete review

I'm not usually a big fan of frozen food, and prefer to buy fresh ingredients and cook myself but there isn't always time between family, friends and work so sometimes there isn't any other option and I just have to get some frozen meal for a quick supper. As I don't buy much frozen products, when it comes to buying I never really sure of what to buy and a friend recommended me Aunt Bessie's frozen food range. I first tried the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings which were really tasty in my opinion and I quite enjoyed a Sunday roast dinner that I had made a lot quicker than usual. As I had already tried these two products I was keen on trying ... Read the complete review

Aunt Bessies Crinkle Cut chips are a real favourite in our house. Just tonight we ate them with home made chilli on top....lovely! A 1 kg bag of frozen chips will cost you around £2. They are often on buy one get one free or on special offer. They are great to keep in the freezer for nights when you want something quick and easy to cook. We don't eat them often, but they are always on standby. I think what makes these chips really good is that they are coated in a light batter. It makes them really nice a crispy on the outside. You can't really notice that there is a batter coating, it just tastes like crispy potato, but for me it definitely gives ... Read the complete review

I'm not mad keen on frozen chips but when I saw these in the freezer I thought I might as well do myself a butty because it was the day before the shopping was delivered and there wasn't a lot else in there. These chips are crinkle cut and made by Aunt Bessies and I don't know what they're doing in the freezer because we normally have McCain chips because they are the ones we all agree that we like. These Aunt Bessies ones are ok but nothing special and I don't like them as much as McCain. The chips are a bit too fat and that's one thing that I don't like because I prefer to eat thinner chips because I think they taste better. The inside of these ... Read the complete review

Aunt Bessie's Crinkle Cut Chips aren't quite as nice as some of the other products from the Aunt Bessies range in my opinion. This brand is top notch for their yorkshire puddings, but hasn't done quite so well with their chips - especially these ones. When I buy crinkle cut, I'm hoping for something a nice soft batch of chips with barely crispy outers. Something about crinkle cut chips usually has a soggy texture to it too, but a nice soggy texture! I mean I find them nice and soft I think. But these Aunt Bessies Crinkle Cut Chips aren't like the other brands I've tried. They're quite firm when cooked and the potato in the middle isn't as soft ... Read the complete review
