I am a fan of Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire Puddings, which taste great and are so easy to make if you only want a couple rather than enough to feed an army if your making them for yourself. I spotted these toad in the holes in Asda on offer at £1 so picked up a couple of boxes to have something different in the freezer for those I fancy something different nights. They come in the usual blue Aunt Bessie packagaing but instead of the plastic bags for the yorkshire puddings etc they come in a cardboard box. Inside the box you will find a foil tray containging the batter mix with two sausages in the middle and a plastic film over the top. The instructions ... Read the complete review

My brother eats loads of these toad in the holes, sometimes two at a time so one day when I didn't know what to have for dinner I decided to have one of these. Aunt Bessie is a company that specialises in doing what you might call traditional family food like roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, apple pie and custard and so on. I had tried Sainsbury's toad in the hole before, its Finest version, and thought it disgusting so I was a tad wary. The box itself is a blue purple colour with a big picture of the food in the corner and the big Aunt Bessie's logo in red and white. There is a picture of a lady (Bessie I presume) in an old-fashioned apron stirring a ... Read the complete review

I am a huge fan of toad in the hole and regularly make my own but sometimes you fancy a change from cooking things and having to worry about sinking Yorkshires and burnt sausages! I saw this Aunt Bessie's Toad In The Hole for the bargain price of £1.00 in my local Tesco (normal price £1.49 in the big supermarkets). I decided it was a bargain too good to miss and promptly threw a couple in to my basket. These are very easy to cook and I normally put mine in the oven for around 30 minutes just to make sure that it's cooked correctly. I do find that the corners can get a little burnt as they rise better than the sides and therefore get more heat in the ... Read the complete review

I love a good Toad in the Hole and regularly make my own at home as I don't think home cooked food can really be beaten but sometimes after a long day at work you just want to throw something in the oven out of the freezer so I always keep an Aunt Bessies Toad in the Hole handy for such occassions. Im not a huge fan of frozen food as I believe sometimes it can taste processed so have tried all manner of Toad In The Holes to find the best to keep stocked in my freezer and this is the best I have found taste-wise. Wrapped in cardboard packaging bearing the famous red/white Aunt Bessies logo inside you have a foil tray containing your toad in the hole ... Read the complete review
