Advantages: More chocolate than biscuit
Disadvantages: A bit expensive!
Mmm chocolate and biscuits all in one! Now that is something that I really like to eat, although they are unhealthy they are still really good. One of my favourite types has to be Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Milk Chocolate. These are from a German company but are very popular in the U.K and are in most Supermarkets.
I buy my boxes from Tesco at £1.49 for a 125g box. In each box you get 12 biscuits which may not seem like many for that price but in this case it's quality over quantity and these biscuits certainly are quality! The box they come in yellow with a little blue bit in the top left hand corner which had the company logo on it. In the large yellow area there are some pictures of a couple of chunks of chocolate and two of the biscuits so that you can see what both the chocolate and the plain side look like. On the back of the box are the ingredients and the nutritional information.
The ingredients, which I include for people who have food allergies are:
Sugar, Wheatflour, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Skimmed Milk Powder, Butter (3.7%), Whey Powder, Lactose, Butter Oil, Glucose Syrup (Wheat), Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin, Raising Agents: Sodium Bicarbonate and Disodium Diphosphate, Whole Milk Powder, Salt, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid, Powdered Egg Yolk, Flavours and Flavouring
Unfortunately they contain wheat and milk. Each biscuit has about 70 calories in it which is quite good for a chocolate biscuit especially as this biscuit is made from butter and is 63% milk chocolate. The main thing that makes these better than other biscuits is that they contain more chocolate than biscuit and they therefore appeal to other people like me who love chocolate.
Once you open the box you can see that the biscuits are stacked in 4 piles of three in a plastic tray which has 3 compartments, this stops them from breaking each other on the way back from the supermarket to your mouth. The tray is then wrapped in clear plastic to keep the biscuits fresh. The biscuits themselves are rectangular in shape with a bumpy almost frilly edge. The biscuit half is golden brown and has a nice sweet buttery taste to it, they crunch very nicely when you bite them. The chocolate part is brown and tastes slightly milky which is good seeing as it is milk chocolate that they are made from. The chocolate tends to melt in your mouth which is very nice, it's good quality, perhaps not as good as Cadbury's but still very nice.
Overall I think that these biscuits are a great treat, they are quite a lot of money but are often on a half price offer in Tesco and that's when I buy them. They are really tasty and well worth trying.
Summary: Fabulous treat
