As you are cooking this pasta, you will become aware of the smell which is quite strange. It doesn't smell of garlic as you would expect but is a little unpleasant. This actually tastes okay if you can get past the smell. It is quite creamy and not too garlicy. In fact, it isn't really identifyable as being chicken and garlic, more like a creamy, herby kind of s...more

I just had one of these for lunch and was inspired to review the product. I have been eating Batchelors Pasta n Sauces for many years now since an old friend introduced me to them! There are loads of different flavours; Chicken & Mushroom, Cheese, Leek & Ham, Macaroni Cheese, Mild Cheese * Broccoli, Tomato & Herb and Chicken & Roasted Garlic. They occasionally intoduce a special edition flavour and now do a variety using wholewheat pasta. I have not tried all the flavours, I tend to stick with what I know I like (which is unusual for me - I like to experiment with food!) The CHicken & Roasted Garlic flavour Pasta n Sauce is ...  Read the complete review

Im not a food snob by any stretch of the imagination but like most people I do like food to taste good. I dont normally eat ready meals or microwavable food but the other day when coming home from work I was in a rush and found one of these iPasta and Sauces left in the cupboard by my brother. Being in a rush this was a quick and easy meal to prepare, the instructions were very easy. You simply add milk, water and optional butter(i added this as I thought it would add more flavour) and heat over the hob for around 8minutes. When heating it on the hob it seemed to take for ever for the pasta to cook and the sauce to thicken, but I think their time ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Batchelors Pasta and Sauce - Chicken and Garlic: Stinky n pasta (492 words)

"Pasta whirls in a delicious chicken and roasted garlic flavour sauce" it said, are they sure they even tasted this product. I brought this as a 2 for £1 deal at ASDA so I dread to think what the other flavour - tomato and herbs tastes and smells like compared to this. I honestly think it would not be that bad but I should have kind of guessed with a title like chicken and roasted garlic that this was going to be vile. As soon as I opened the packet it just stunk, can't really describe the smell but it was not pleasant and it was really a strong lingering smell, don't think it even smelt of garlic or chicken it just wanted to make me hurl. ...  Read the complete review

Quick and easy pasta with a bit of flavour, what could be better. I first came across Batchelors Pasta 'n' Sauce when I was at University. What could be more stereotypical than a traditional students staple diet of pasta, pasta and more pasta and because these were quick, cheap and easy they became a firm favourite of mine and also my housemate's. Fast forward a few years (ok, quite a few years but who's counting) and even though I like to think that I have a more sophisticated palette now I still devour these little packets of pasta heaven! I am a fan of most of the flavours but the flavour I am reviewing today is the chicken ...  Read the complete review

Batchelors Pasta and Sauce - Chicken and Garlic Description: Manufacturer: Batchelors / Type: Ready Meal I was looking for something quick and simple to make as was in a hurry this evening so grabbed one of these from my local supermarket. I have seen these on the shelves but never tried them before. These were on offer so I got 2 for £1.50. This pasta comes in a blue foil packet which has the Batchelors logo on the front and a picture of the pasta. The pasta is dried and has what seems like a powdered cheese sauce with little tiny green bits (herbs, I hope!). All you need to do is add water, milk and butter ...  Read the complete review
