I have been eating soups for my lunch for the last month or so as the weather has gone cold and I find them quite comforting. I am a big fan of the Baxters Chicken Broth (see my review for more details) and so I assumed that I would also like this soup which seemed quite similar from the ingredients and was round about the same in terms of being a low fat option. I bought my tin for 86p from my local Asda and was impressed to note that for the entire can there was only 96 calories (even less than the chicken broth) and 0.2g of fat. I love soup, so I always have a variety of tins lurking in my cupboard, ready to heat up quickly for a snack whenever I get the urge - which is happening more and more often as the nights start to get longer and the temperatures get colder . One of my favourite soup brands has to be Baxters, who have been around since 1868, and making soups since 1929. They're a traditional Scottish company, and the packaging of this soup reflects that, being very traditional, with flashes or tartan and a photo of the soup steaming hot in a bowl . You are probably more than likely aware that I am watching what i eat at the moment and to be honest I am quite enjoying the diet that I am doing. Its not very interesting and some would say that what I am eating at the moment is pretty boring however watching the pounds drop off as I am now nearly at my target weight is great. What I am eating a lot of at the moment is soup and I find that its a filling and quick snack, that has minimal calories depending on what flavour you are having and is working wonders for me.
