Baxters French Onion

I love soup and usually make my own. It is so simple to make it virtually makes itself! However like lots of people I lead a busy life and like to keep tins of soup in my cupboard for the times when I don't have the time or energy to prepare the vegetables I like to put into my soup. I am fussy when it comes to buying food and scan the labels to see just what my family are going to be eating. When I buy soup it always has to be either Baxter's or Covent Garden. Both of these brands are additive free and contain decent ingredients. True they are more expensive than the likes of Heinz but the taste is far superior in my book. I like soup, so I do; all sorts of soup. Soup is a practically instant food, and if you get the right one can almost be a meal in itself. We make lots and lots of home made soup in our household, my personal favourites being French onion, potato, and ham and pea. But every now and again you simply need something that you can prepare almost instantly, and which is tasty, filling and warming. Baxters French Onion Description: Manufacturer: Baxter's / Soups A 415g tin of this soup cost me £0.73 from my local supermarket. You can buy this in most supermarkets and it comes in a red and brown tin, with the Baxters label and a picture of a bowl of the soup on the front. This tin has a ring pull which is great as it means that you don't have to hunt around for a tin opener. You can either warm it gently in a saucepan or put it in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes (stir half way through cooking). I love a warm bowl of soup when the months start getting colder . Usually, I make my own, but sometimes I just don't have the time, so I do like to have a few cans sitting in the cupboard as standby meals . One of my favourites is French Onion . This is probably one of the easiest and cheapest soups to make at home, except for the fact that the vast amount of onions involved does make me cry like a baby. I absolutely adore soup! I find nothing better than some with fresh bread and butter and I right pig out on it! I also like a wide variety of flavours and my Mother does our weekly shop (as I live at home cos I'm not silly lol) and she got me this to try out last week! The Packaging.... 415g can with a ring pull lid to the top of it and on that in black writing I'm told that metal cans are widely recyclable.
