... for cooking it. It seems to taste better this way too. There are only 84 calories in a tin of Baxters Scotch Broth so, even though it is not marketed as a diet soup, it is not going to impact on anyone looking for a low calorie soup. The pros far out way the cons with this soup. I wouldn't consider this soup a luxury, but it certainly tastes like one. The only problem I have with it is stopping myself going straight back for another one after finishing, it really is that nice....more

As a soup lover, it is my opinion that you have got to go a long way to beat Baxters for a range of soups in terms of quality, taste and value for money. Scotch Broth is my favourite flavour of soup and Baxters is my favourite brand so it stands to reason that I am about to tell you how nice this soup is. Firstly lets start with the packaging because this is crucial for me. You can see from the image here that Baxters have got the packaging for this and all of their soups just right. It looks warm, filling and really inviting. This can put you in the right frame of mind with the product before even starting. Well I am a huge fan of soup, I always eat soup when I go out to restaurants for my started and also for most lunches. Tinned soup are especially useful for taking to work as they take two minutes to warm up the microwave and then they are ready. This Baxters Scotch Broth is one of my favourite tinned soup as it is full of lovely subtle flavours, its great for the winter months as it is very homely and warming. I make alot of my own soups and would never attempt to make Scoth Broth because this one is so tasty and so convinient. I know for a fact that professional sports men and women eat alot of soup and especially ones filled with vegetables and some carbohydrates as a ...  Read the complete review

Baxters Favourites Scotch Broth A soup worth coming home for… If I had to choose between tinned soup or homemade soup, the homemade stuff would win hands down every time. However, there are times when you’re tired, or it’s cold in the kitchen, or you need a wee bit of instant comfort, when the tinned soup calls and you dutifully answer. There are three types of tinned soup that I love above all other tinned varieties and these are: The Co-op’s own Lentil and Bacon (Mmmmm) Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup (Devine with cheese) Baxters Favourites Scotch Broth. Having already sung the praises of Heinz Cream of ...  Read the complete review
