My brother in law has come home from traveling the world, for a few weeks so we aren't sticking to our healthy eating plan. Last night we paid a quick visit to Morrisons to pick up some treats to eat with a film and when I saw that Ben and Jerry's ice cream was only £1.90 per tub, I couldn't resist it. I usually go for chocolate fudge brownie but decided to put my chocolate peanuts back on the shelf and try this Macadamia one instead. The ice cream consists of both white and chocolate ice cream and incooperated into this are some macadamia nuts covered in milk chocolate. I was expecting to really love this ice cream more than any I have had before ... Read the complete review

This ice cream was purchased solely for my fiancé, Tom, as I can be a real ice cream piggy and he usually gets the smaller share of things so I try and buy him something that I won't like myself & as I am not a big fan of any sort of nut I didn't think this would appeal to me but alas, I gave it a try & I loved it. The ice cream is provided in a cardboard pot which is recyclable (once empty of course!) and it is made with all natural ingredients. There is chocolate & Fairtrade vanilla ice cream along with lots of macadamia nuts and these appear to be coated in chocolate or something and are quite large. The ice creams compliment each other well ... Read the complete review

I was not totally convinced by this flavour when I saw it however a review on this site convinced me to give it a try, how I wished I had read the second review on the site before I did because it was the latter one that more closely matched my own opinions of this ice cream offerring from Ben and Jerry's. Usually their ice cream is top draw when it comes to quality and I do not mind paying the extra as the flavours are quite orignal and always taste lovely. I found the chocolate ice cream in this particular offerring to be rather harsh and not really that chocolately rather a more chemical taste to it, this seems strange because you would think it is the same ... Normally I would be preparing to sit down to write a gushing tribute to another great Ben and Jerrys ice cream as I have always loved their stuff however unfortunately that is not the case with this particular offerring as it was rather average which given the generally premium price nature of this product is not good enough as you would expect better from them given that it is £3.99 or a 500ml pot in some shops. It comes in the usual cardboard carton style with the colourful funky style you expect of Ben and Jerry's. The ice crean is a blend of chocolate and vanilla flavours however it is the chocolate which is the dominant flavour and it was the ... Read the complete review

I've got a new favourite flavour! Pleasingly, this Ben & Jerry creation is not only made with Fairtrade sugar, vanilla & cocoa, but it's also vegetarian & climate neutral - which is like carbon neutral but more so, because it takes into account such emissions as methane. This makes me feel like I've done some kind of civic duty in polishing off an entire tub with my friend, rather than some greedy gannet who's just consumed - dear me - nearly 600 calories. You know when you've pigged on Ben & Jerry's though, because it's so rich & creamy (this one: 30% cream!) & extremely satisfying. I thought this variety has got the balance of ...
